This week I have enjoyed the amazing hospitality of the Holiday Inn Old Sydney. With the Vivid Light Festival at the front door, Holiday Inn Old Sydney has amazing vantage points across the harbour to the Opera House and beyond. The light show is spectacular to view from the roof top and also some of the higher floors that have some of the best views on offer in Sydney!  You will also find an inviting swimming pool and spa on the roof top where you feel like you are on top of the world as you watch the ferry’s coming and going from Circular Quay.

Positioned in “The Rocks” where you have all of the best pubs, designer clothing shops and the convenience to Sydney’s main shopping precedent only a short stroll away.  Walking around “The Rocks” you can imagine that you are back in time! There is definitely a unique feeling about the “The Rocks” compared to the rest of Sydney!

The staff are outstanding from the Reception greeting to the room service staff and bar staff, you will be hard pressed to find a more dedicated team! They go about their day with a smile… and makes their guests not only feel welcome but “at home”.

Valet parking is also offered at the hotel and is hassle free. Just pull up in your car and the Valet service will take care of the rest!

The Holiday Inn’s also provides a delicious menu for dinner in their “Playfair Terrace” and I recommend the most tender of Calamari for entrée and the lamb shank for mains and of course you can’t go past finishing off such a lovely meal without ordering the sticky date pudding for desert!

After a short walk before retiring for the evening, I stop off in the hotels lounge lobby bar for a Bailey’s on Ice! A lovely way to complete the evening.

The “Playfair Terrace” will also impress you with their full breakfast menu on offer – I enjoyed the fact they had a choice of bacon on offer. Your choice of crispy streaky or soft tasty bacon rashes and accompanied by the fluffiest of scrambled eggs. This breakfast will keep you satisfied as you begin your day exploring the magnificent harbour city.

I have thourouly enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Old Sydney and will definitely be returning on my next visit to Sydney!
