Denis and Glenda travelled to Eden during the month of May this year and were amazed at the beauty of Twofold Bay, which is well known as a vantage point for the Whales annual migration during May and November.  Never visiting Eden before, Denis and Glenda found the drive from Victoria to Eden an easy journey for anyone who is looking for a road trip on their way to Sydney or  as a destination for some R & R for a long term stay.

The South Coast has some outstanding accommodation and on this touring trip, Glenda and Denis chose to stay in a Holiday Park and experience the cabin accommodation that South Coast Holiday Parks had on offer.  Usually keen Caravanners, Denis and Glenda decided to try the cabin accommodation for a change!  They had also been blessed with beautiful weather Eden had “turned on” for their two day stay!

On arrival to the South Coast Holiday Park Eden, they were warmly welcomed by the hosts Chris and Dianna.  They stayed in the brand new 4 star “Sandpiper” cabin which featured stunning views across the river.  South Coast Holiday Park Eden has 22 cabins to choose from ranging from budget to four star.  The Sandpiper cabin was completely set up and equip for all your accommodation needs which included bathroom amenities, towels and linen. Very comfortable Queen Size bed and the couch could also fold out catering for up to four people if needed.  All TVs have Foxtel, heating and cooling too.  If you have a pooch that you can’t be without, the South Coast Holiday Park Eden also designated two of their cabins Dog Friendly!

Denis and Glenda were impressed by the design and colour scheme of the cabins and the cleanliness was outstanding.  The Holiday Park has direct and easy access to the beach and close to the rock pool for swimming laps in the warmer weather.  BBQ facilities at the holiday park were clean and inviting and Denis and Glenda also enjoyed a BBQ lunch on their stay overlooking the treed area and lawn area of the park.  The cabins veranda and outdoor setting definitely opened itself up to a “fine glass of red” whilst gazing out over the water and watching the bird life and taking in the sounds of the sea.  There are also many walks to be had from the holiday park and is and the Holiday Park was handy to

Denis and Glenda were impressed by the range of restaurants, pubs and clubs in Eden.  They indulged in a tasty bistro meal at the Fisherman’s Recreation Club on their first night stay in Eden where they were collected and dropped back off by a courtesy bus from the Holiday Parks office.  The following morning they enjoyed a delicious fully cooked breakfast at the Wharfside Café.   The South Coast Holiday Park has numerous walking tracks to town and also along the beach, which also are bike friendly too!

Denis and Glenda will definitely be visiting Eden again and bring their friends and their caravan next time and enjoy the range of many powered sites and en-suite sites.  There are also clean and modern amenities close by to the camping areas.   They are looking forward to experiencing the warmer months in Eden and down by the water where you can also sit back in your camping chair and enjoy some fishing.

And they have decided … There is definitely SOMETHING ABOUT EDEN!
